About R. M. Webb

Welcome to the party!

Who is this R. M. Webb? Why should I care what she has to say? Why should I poke around this site?

Those, my friend, are very good questions. Let me try to answer them for you.

Who is R. M. Webb?

I’ll start with the high level stuff. I’m a writer, an artist, a dancer, a mother, a business-woman, and I’m in love with the man of my dreams.

If you really want to get into the nitty gritty about who I am and what motivates me, I suggest you read some of my blog posts. You’ll get a pretty decent picture about the woman behind the words. (Or, you can check out the post in which I interviewed myself to get a jump start on your in-depth knowledge regarding all things R. M. Webb.)

Why should you care about what I have to say?

Because I’m awesome. It’s that simple.

Other than that, I’ve made a living as an artist for all of my adult life, first as a ballerina, then as a ballet instructor, and now as an author. It’s not all unicorns and rainbows, making a living off your passion. Oftentimes, the decision that will help grow the business side of things directly opposes your integrity as an artist.

I’m also a mother to three ever-growing human beings. Motherhood is glorious and frustrating and wonderful and tear-inducing. It’s the best-most-wonderful-hardest thing I’ve ever done.

As an author, I work from home. There are days I’m working creatively, there are days when I’m focusing on the business side of writing, but there are never days when I’m not both a mother and an Authorpreneur.  (I love that word. Google it.)

I’m here to share my successes and failures with you. Maybe you’ll share your success and failures with me.

Join me on my journey from debut author to seasoned veteran, from mother of small children, to mother of grown children.

Why should you poke around this site?

Well, first, you’ll find my blog. And that’s where you’ll get to join me on the aforementioned journey.

Beyond that, whether you’re an artist looking to learn from other artists, a parent looking to talk with other parents, a reader looking for your next favorite book, or some combination of the three, I want to create a space filled with interesting information for you to digest and discuss.

But secondly, I kinda hope you’ll stumble across my books (conveniently located under the Books tab –I like to make things easy) and discover one that interests you.

And then buy one.

I said it.

I want you to buy and read and like…no…LOVE…I want you to LOVE my books and find some measure of escape from the tedium of everyday life because the story sucked you in and you couldn’t put it down until it was done.

Yep. That sounds pretty awesome to me.

Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, I’m also going to add that my Amazon links are affiliate links. That means that when you click on them, I make just a tiny bit of money if you make a purchase. Not enough to buy a yacht, or an island, or a new car.

Maybe enough to take Mr. Wonderful out for a coffee at the end of the month.

  1. Wow, you sound like a great, wonderful, creative, goofy, fun loving person/author/mom…I can relate. I’m also trying to learn to ride a motorcycle. My father and brothers ride, and I KNOW it’s in my blood, I’m just waiting for m limbs to catch up to that realization, lol.

Just finished reading “Facade” and am on to the next “Unleashed” adventure. Already anticipating book #3. ?

    1. It took me awhile to get to where I wasn’t nearly paralyzed with fear the moment I got on the bike. I remember when I was first learning, Mr. Wonderful was following me on his motorcycle in our neighborhood, I was so exhilarated. I was going so fast! Faster than I’d ever gone! I thought maybe it was time to slow down, so, I checked my speed … that’s right. I was going all of 21 mph. 🙂

I’ve learned though, if I chew gum while I’m riding, it helps keeps my nerves at bay. I read an article that suggested chewing gum whenever you find yourself afraid because it helps to defuse the fear response. I’ve found it helps a lot!

I’m thrilled to hear that you’re liking the books. Like for real. Kind of dream come true stuff – knowing I’ve created something that others find enjoyable.
